Dewet Moser to step down as UBS council member

Dewet Moser, Alternate Member of the Board of Governors of the Swiss National Bank, has opted for early retirement in March 2024.。

The Swiss National Bank today announced that Board Alternate Dewet Moser has chosen to retire early in March 2024.。

Dewet Moser was born in 1960 and has worked at the Swiss National Bank since 1986.。During his 38-year tenure, he held a number of important positions。

In 1997, Dewet Moser was ordered to set up a risk management department at the Swiss National Bank and led the department for 10 years.。

Since May 2007, Dewet Moser has served as an alternate member of the Council。For more than a decade, he has been responsible for the business management of the third sector (money markets and foreign exchange, asset management, banking, information technology and Singapore branch).。His responsibilities include, inter alia, the implementation of monetary policy。

On September 1, 2018, Dewet Moser became Deputy Head of Sector 2 (Financial Stability, Cash, Accounting, Control, Risk Management, and Operational Risk and Security), after which he was primarily responsible for the resilience of the financial sector and ensuring the sustainable supply and distribution of cash.。

As an alternate member of the Council, Dewet Moser has been involved in the Council's decision-making for many years in an advisory capacity.。

The Swiss National Bank commented:
