Google Launches Pixel 9 Series With Deep Gemini AI Integration

Google has announced the next generation of its Pixel 9 lineup, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and other products. In these products, Gemini AI Assistant will be deeply integrated in Android.

Google has announced the next generation of Pixel 9 series, including Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and other products.

The Pixel 9 series comes with the latest Tensor G4 processor and 16GB of RAM, with app launches and web page loads about 20 percent faster. The Tensor G4 processor supports more sophisticated AI operations, and the products in question also come with a fully upgraded camera system and brighter displays for improved visibility in sunlight.

Google says the Gemini AI Assistant will be deeply integrated in Android and will be able to understand user intent and complete complex tasks. For example, after a user uploads a concert itinerary, Gemini AI will automatically check Google Calendar for availability and remind the user to purchase tickets. Another example is that by uploading a photo of an ingredient, a user can immediately get the corresponding cooking recipe.

The pricing strategy for the Pixel 9 series is as follows: the Pixel 9 is priced at $799, which is $100 more expensive than the Pixel 8; the Pixel 9 Pro is priced at $999; the Pixel 9 Pro XL is priced at $1,099; and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is priced at $1,799, and comes with a one-year Gemini Advanced subscription. This pricing strategy is aimed at high-end market consumers.

Although Google's hardware business is not its main source of revenue, the new products are expected to attract more subscribers by carrying the Gemini AI assistant. Moreover, the growth of the Gemini Advanced subscription service could drive Google's future revenue growth against the backdrop of increased competition in the AI space.
