Report Indicates Amazon Prime Day Sales Expected to Reach Historic High

According to Adobe Analytics data, it is expected that consumers will spend approximately $14 billion during Amazon's two-day Prime Day shopping event this week.

According to Adobe Analytics data, it is expected that consumers will spend approximately $14 billion during Amazon's two-day Prime Day shopping event this week.

Adobe Analytics data shows that compared to Prime Day 2023, spending on Amazon this Tuesday and Wednesday may increase by 10.5%.

Amazon holds Prime Day every July for ten years now. According to CFRA Research, Prime Day sales account for 1% to 2% of Amazon's global net revenue.

Earlier this year, Amazon began introducing Prime Day discounts, covering clothing, back to school supplies, health products, and electronics.

Amazon stated that the first day of its two-day Prime Day in 2023 was its best sales day ever, but it did not disclose the total sales for Prime Day.

According to Adobe Analytics, Prime Day consumers spent $12.7 billion on Amazon last year, an increase of 6.1% from 2022.

Amazon's Prime Day has transformed July, traditionally a tough month for merchants, into a time for consumers to search for discounts, especially on back to school clothing, electronics, uniforms, backpacks, dormitory decor, and supplies.

Rivals Wal Mart and Target also announced discounts and marketing activities in July, trying to get a share of the 38.8 billion US dollars predicted by the Trade Organization of the American Retail Federation.

The impact of high inflation over the years has made consumers accustomed to delaying the purchase of non essential items, and businesses are encouraging consumers to change this habit through significant discounts in July.
