According to the SEC, beginning in 2013, Wexler was involved in a conspiracy to manipulate the price of CodeSmart's securities.。Wexler and others tried to flood the market with CodeSmart shares and engaged in promotions to artificially inflate the stock price, the SEC said.。
The SEC also alleges that Wexler worked with two brokers to personally sell CodeSmart shares to the market, while the two brokers simultaneously purchased CodeSmart shares in their clients' accounts.。

The SEC alleges that Wexler violated Sections 5 (a), 5 (c), and 17 (a) of the Securities Act of 1933, Sections 9 (a) and 10 (b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and Rule 10b-5.。
On December 22, 2022, the court ruled in part against Wexler after obtaining his consent, and Wexler agreed to permanently prohibit him from violating the terms of the charges and agreed to prohibit him from participating in the fairy stock deal and serving as an executive and director.。
