U.S. Intends to Strengthen Sanction on Huawei

The rapid sell-out of Huawei's latest mobile phones, the Pura 70, has put more competitive pressure on Apple in China. Meanwhile the US is considering stricter sanctions against Huawei.

Huawei's latest Pura 70 series smartphones, equipped with the in-house Kirin 9010 processor, have rapidly sold out, exerting greater competitive pressure on Apple (AAPL) in the Chinese market. Consequently, US officials are considering imposing stricter sanctions on Huawei to restrict its technological development and market expansion.

According to a report by independent analysis firm TechInsights, Huawei's Kirin 9010 processor utilizes a 7-nanometer enhanced version technology produced by Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), highlighting Huawei's autonomous capabilities in high-end chip technology. Despite the impact of US technology export restrictions, Huawei has managed to break through.

Since the debut of the Huawei Mate smartphone series in August last year, there has been a strong market response, with the Pura 70 series selling out within two days of its launch. It is anticipated that Huawei will further expand its market share before the shopping festival on June 18th.

With Huawei's progress in the semiconductor manufacturing field, US officials are contemplating stricter sanctions on Huawei and its Chinese chip networks to curb its technological development and market expansion. This will have significant implications for Huawei and its global operations in the future.
