Musk has called for the creation of a government commission to ensure that taxpayer money is spent effectively, and said he would like to play a role in the process. Musk said "I'd be happy to help on such a commission if it's formed." Trump praised Musk for the idea.

On Monday night, Musk and Trump had a live conversation on the X platform, in which they discussed several topics involving U.S. politics in a two-hour conversation.

Trump has said that if he returns to the White House, he will ensure that the government retains its entire bitcoin holdings and classifies bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset of the United States.

Biden stated that he will fully support and endorse US Vice President Harris in obtaining the Democratic presidential candidate nomination.
