Hong Kong police: Many victims received short messages about counterfeit Binan fraud "

Internet reports that the Hong Kong police disclosed information that recently, a victim received a phishing scam message from a fraudster fake Binance claiming that someone was trying to log in to the account. The victim followed the fraudster's instructions and remitted cryptocurrency to the designated wallet address many times. When the victim called the fraudster again to understand, the fraudster replied,"This is a scam." In the past week, the police received a total of 47 phishing scams, defrauding more than 2.5 million Hong Kong dollars. The Hong Kong police have warned not to disclose any personal or sensitive information to the sender of the short message whose identity has not been verified, or to open hyperlinks in the short message.
