$400 million investment opens AMD's world's largest design center in India

On November 30, AMD officially announced that it has opened its largest global design center "AMD Technostar" in Bangalore, India on November 28, local time. The park plans to hire about 3,000 engineers in the next few years, focusing on the design and development of semiconductor technology, including 3D stacking, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and other projects。Jaya Jagadish, head of AMD India, said: "The Indian Design Centre was established in 2004 with only a handful of staff.。Today, 25% of AMD's global workforce is based in India and supports AMD's leading product development, PC and embedded customers in data centers, gaming and more.。This new facility marks the next milestone in our growth journey and we will be a significant contributor to semiconductor advancements.。"
