TikTok CEO: Will do everything possible to ensure the TikTok platform continues to prosper

According to online reports, Zhou Shouzi, CEO of Short Video social media platform TikTok, delivered a video speech via TikTok on the 17th, saying that he would do his best to ensure that the TikTok platform continues to prosper in the future. Earlier in the day, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that TikTok's "sell or ban" law was not unconstitutional. This means that the Supreme Court allowed the bill to take effect on the 19th as originally planned. Zhou Shouzi responded by saying that U.S. President-elect Trump "promised to work with us to find a solution to make TikTok available in the United States." He expressed his gratitude to Trump on behalf of all company employees and every user. Zhou Shouzi said that people can create communities on TikTok, discover new hobbies and express themselves, and that more than 7 million U.S. merchants use it to make a living and gain customers. He also thanked American users for bringing rich content to TikTok. Trump said on social media that day that the Supreme Court's ruling was expected, but his decision on TikTok will be made in the near future, and "I must have time to review the situation." According to multiple US media reports on the 16th, outgoing US President Biden will not implement the TikTok "sell or ban" law originally scheduled to take effect on the 19th, and its fate will be decided by the Trump administration.
