ASIC suspends Australasian Capital's AFS license
ASIC suspends Australian Capital Pty Ltd's Australian Financial Services (AFS) licence。
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has suspended the Australian Financial Services (AFS) licence of Australasian Capital Pty Ltd (ACN 143 093 832).。The suspension will last for one year until August 25, 2024.。The licence authorises Australian Airlines to provide financial services to wholesale customers。
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has suspended the licence as Qantas has ceased its financial services business.。Qantas also failed to meet its financial reporting obligations for the financial years ending 30 June 2021 and 30 June 2022.。
The suspension will give Australasian Capital the opportunity to meet its outstanding deposit obligations and ASIC may consider further action if Qantas fails to meet its obligations at the end of the suspension period.。
Qantas may apply to Administrative Appeals Tribunal for review of ASIC decision。
