Huang Renxun said AGI or will achieve chip demand within five years will be unstoppable?
General Artificial Intelligence (AGI) could be on the horizon in just five years, says Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun。
General Artificial Intelligence (AGI) could be on the horizon in just five years, says Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun。
Recently, Huang Renxun attended the economic forum held at Stanford University, when asked about the time required to achieve a computer with the ability to think like a human, he said that it mainly depends on the definition of AGI goals。If AGI is defined as the ability to pass human tests, Huang said AGI will come soon.。
Huang said that if artificial intelligence were given a list of all the tests that humans can imagine, "make that list of tests and put it in front of the computer science industry, I guess in five years, we will perform well in every test.。"
Currently, artificial intelligence can pass tests like the legal qualification exam, but it has encountered difficulties in professional medical testing.。
Based on other definitions of AGI, Huang said there may be a long way to go because scientists are still controversial about describing the way humans think.。
"So, as an engineer, it's very difficult to achieve.。"Because engineers need clear goals."。"
Huang Renxun also answered the question of how many chip factories will be needed under the expansion of the artificial intelligence industry.。Huang said more chip factories will be needed, but noted that each chip will also get better over time, which will limit the number of chips customers need.。
Recently, Nvidia's market capitalization topped $2 trillion, surpassing Google parent Alphabet and Amazon to become the third-largest U.S. company by market capitalization, behind Microsoft and Apple.。
Nvidia's shares have risen 70 percent this year.8%。The AI chip giant's shares have risen 244% in the past year and 2,084% in the past five years.。
