Massachusetts Court of Appeals confirms Santander Bank is not responsible for customers '$750,000 cryptocurrency fraud losses

The Internet reported that the U.S. Court of Appeals in Massachusetts has confirmed in an unpublished ruling that plaintiff Lourenco Garcia's lawsuit against Bank Santander has been dismissed, after the plaintiff is understood to have tried to hold Bank Santander responsible for more than $750,000 in losses in a cryptocurrency scam linked to a fraudulent crypto platform called Coinegg. The Massachusetts Court of Appeals held that while Santander could refuse or block any or all transactions, it was not obligated to do so, and that the plaintiff himself authorized each transaction and did not find that the bank violated any contractual terms or legal obligations.
