There are two types of reasons for this recall, with a total of more than 1.6 million Tesla vehicles recalled.。
The first category is recalled due to door unlock logic control problems。The State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration stated that in the event of a collision, the door latch on the non-collision side of the Tesla may disengage from the buckle, leaving the door in a non-locked state, posing a safety hazard。For this reason, a total of 7,538 imported Model S and Model X electric vehicles with production dates from October 26, 2022 to November 16, 2023 will be recalled.。
The second category is recalled due to potential safety hazards in the automatic assisted steering function。The State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration stated that when the Tesla automatic assisted steering function is turned on, the driver may misuse the level 2 combined driving assistance function, increasing the risk of vehicle collision and posing safety risks。For this reason, a total of 1,610,105 imported Model S, Model X, Model 3 and domestic Model 3, Model Y electric vehicles with production dates from August 26, 2014 to December 20, 2023 will be recalled.。
It is worth noting that in mid-December last year, Tesla announced that it would recall more than 2 million vehicles in the United States because of safety hazards in self-driving functions.。Tesla said at the time that after the recall, it would install new protections for the vehicle's self-driving system.。Meanwhile, Transport Canada said in December that Tesla would recall 193,000 vehicles to address self-driving issues.。
