Musk warns: If outdated weapons programs are not reformed immediately, the United States risks major failure in future wars."

Online reports that on February 7 local time, Chamas Palihapitiya, a well-known Silicon Valley venture capitalist and former Facebook executive, posted on social media platform X: "The (US) Congressional Budget Office recently reported that the Navy plans to spend US$40 billion (a total of US$1.2 trillion) each year to purchase 364 ships, with approximately US$3 billion per ship. But if the Navy wanted to, they could actually use a small portion of the money to buy more than 10000 armed drones, achieving global coverage." Later, Musk immediately forwarded the post and wrote: "The U.S. weapons program needs to be completely redone. The current strategy is to make small quantities of weapons at high prices to deal with yesterday's war. Unless major changes are made immediately, the United States will suffer miserably in the next war."
