A number of SEC-related confidential internal documents were disclosed by reporters
Online reports that former investigative journalist Jason Leopold has released a series of internal documents obtained from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the past six months within the framework of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), including: -E-mail correspondence records of SEC Chairman Gary Gensler; -Multiple confidential letters sent by Tesla's legal team regarding the SEC's continued enforcement actions against Musk; -An investigation report on the hacking of the SEC's official X account;- Relevant investigation documents on Deepfake photos appearing on the X platform and their impact on the market; -Multiple Inspector General's reports. Leopold said that obtaining these documents has gone through a long process, including multiple steps such as regular follow-up on the application status, negotiation with institutions, and narrowing the scope of applications. Some of the contents are still blackened. These documents will provide the public with important reference information on the SEC's internal operations.
