Latest news! Nvidia RTX 5090 gaming graphics card base frequency or up to 2.9 GHz
According to the latest revelation, Nvidia's next-generation gaming graphics card GeForce RTX 5090 is expected to have a base frequency of 2.9 GHz, which is 30% higher than the base frequency of RTX 4090 (2.23 GHz).
Nvidia's next-generation game graphics cards are increasingly worth looking forward to.
According to the latest revelation, Nvidia's next-generation gaming graphics card GeForce RTX 5090 is expected to have a base frequency of 2.9 GHz. This value is 30% higher than the base frequency (2.23 GHz) of Nvidia's flagship model RTX 4090, and can be further increased by 15% on top of the RTX 4090 acceleration frequency (2.52 GHz).
If the above disclosure is true, it means that RTX 5090 will become the fastest graphics card in the market.
However, generally speaking, the RTX 4090 can also be raised to a base frequency of around 2.9 GHz, but this requires more power consumption. This also indicates that under suitable conditions, the fundamental frequency of RTX 5090 may be increased to above 3 GHz!
It is reported that the RTX 5090 will be based on the Blackwell architecture and is expected to be equipped with 28GB GDDR7 memory and 448 bit width.
Comparison of partial data between RTX 5090 (Rumor version) and RTX 4090 (Official version):
Although Nvidia has been tight lipped about the GeForce RTX 5090, the enthusiasm for the graphics card from the outside world has been high, and related revelations have not stopped.
In late May of this year, industry insiders revealed that some prototypes of the GeForce RTX 5090 Founder's Edition only occupied two expansion slots on the PC chassis. In contrast, some models of RTX 4090 require three to four slots and require GPU mounts to prevent sagging and motherboard damage.
Moreover, apart from potentially smaller external dimensions, the cooling system of RTX 5090 may only use two fans, similar to the RTX 4090 Founder's Edition.
Currently, the industry generally expects the RTX 5090 to be released in the fourth quarter of 2024, while the successor graphics cards of the Blackwell series will be launched in 2025.
However, Nvidia confirmed in May this year that it is collaborating with companies such as Dell to develop AI driven PC products, with plans to launch them in 2025. It remains to be seen whether this will affect the release of GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards.
